win 1886 EL front site removel
have win 1886 EL , is miroku rifle wanted to change front site to a blade site ,tried to remove bead site, it is tight, tried plastic drift and hammer ,tried B-squire front site pusher, has two pins on one side and another on othe side you turn in ward with a knob.it still willnot come out . All the pusher does is put little identations on the small site ramp. I assume this ramp is sweated on and i dont want to crush it or break it off the barrel. am pushing site left to right with the loading gate being on the right . site is super tight any suggestions to keep from breaking anything?

Take a 2x4 and cut a small notch in the edge. Have an assistant hold the rifle so the right side of the front sight ramp is solidly against the 2x4. With the sight right at the notch, take a 1/4" flat punch and a real hammer and drive that sight out.
That is what I had to do to get the sight out of the ramp on my Marlin MR-7. When I tried to use my sight pusher tool, the tool bent. Using the flat punch against the flat side of the sight, with the ramp solidly against the 2x4 worked very easily.

Left to right. I got mine out. It was tight. I supported the whole ramp with a piece of oak with a hole drilled in it for the sight to move into. Brass punch and light strikes with a heavy hammer.
Kind regards,

Anyone that doesn't want the ramps please let me know. I can use them for projects.
