To our brothers across the pond

I have been encouraged to see that we have some brothers across the pond. I was told once by an old timer that only an American can truely understand and feel that deep yearning for freedom. "This deeply felt sense of indepence only comes from the U.S of A." He went on to explain that in all the world only an American can understand this in his soul. His experiences were forged during combant in WWII. He met, fought, and liberated peoples from many nations. "Only an American truely understands what we understand." Maybe he was correct or maybe he was wrong but I am glad we have brothers across the pond. 1886.

Way back we were conned into thinking Great Britain was a free country.
Now, the UK is very different and certainly not a Land Of The Free.

All due to apathy and politicians.

But a lot of us still consider our selves freedom loving folks and I sure if "The Mayflower" was to sail next week we would all be on it!!

We're not near as free as we used to be nor as we like to think.

The tyrany of "regulation" has pretty much intruded into all facets of life.
