I have found the "Holy Grail" of 39A's

Post by jdad »

It seemed like it took forever to get here......and to find one :? 1st variation, 1st year (1939), and 3 digit serial number under 500. :) Lots of sweaty, salty, hands have been on that receiver, but the bore is perfect.....real character.

Howdy,
Nice looking rifle! Someone mentioned the 16", would that be the TDS?
I found a LNIB the other day. (With the bag) What a sweet shooter.

That's a nice looking one. I was a little skeptical when I got one (1964 man. date) but I absolutely love that gun. Good luck with yours.

Very nice, congrats on the find. I found a 39A made in 1953 about 4 months back, was pretty pleased with that find.
