Do you like pairs?
By that I mean pairing a handgun with a rifle or carbine?

Re: Do you like pairs?
The idea of a rifle/pistol combo always appealed to me, but honestly I never carry both together, and other than .22RF I never find one load and bullet that works great in both rifle and pistol. But they do look neat together; especially an old SA and a medium sized lever action.

Favorite pair these days. .45 Convertible and a Win/Miroku '73.
They can both shoot better than I can.

When I travel these days this is my favorite pair.
Not exactly in the same category as Scott posted and not meant to derail the original post, but it is a favorite of mine.

Re: Do you like pairs?
Only pairs I've put much thought into, because I'd like to own them, is an 1873 & SA Colt in 44-40! A possible pair I recently passed by, but now regret? In 2021 I bought a like new, hardly fired?? Rem 700 270Win made in 2012, from my local gunshop-reload supplier, he was selling on consignment, for some collector who bought it along with its brother in 25-06. I handled em both long time debating buying, cause I really didn't have the extra money. But I knew full well about the 25-06 cartridge, had shot a lot an old coworkers Rem 700 25-06 10 years prior, tried to buy it then, but noway he'd sell. But I'd never been 270Win interested! I'm a 308 cartridges lover! But now, I'm a 270Win lover finally, I'm probably gonna hunt this year with this 700 270Win. But I wish I'd could've bought the 25-06 also. You can't tell much about a Remington by serial number like a Winchester. But maybe these 2 where really twins? Idk, but I wish I had both now, that 25-06 is one fine cartridge!
And I'd love to have the Marlin 336&39a they sold in pairs in ?1971? If memory is correct?

Re: Do you like pairs?
If I remember to, I'll make up picture of my newest pairing. I'm in the middle of a Chiappa LA322 build that's showing real promise of being fun along with a S&W Model 17-9.

Ysabel, one of the best combos I have come across, thanks for posting it! I'm not really a 44 guy, I doubt I ever will be. I prefer 45 on up. But that is a really, really nice combo for sure! -Tutt or Andy

Re: Do you like pairs?
Very nice pairs being shown here. I do like them, but seems like I rarely have had them in my collection. Currently I have the Winchester 92 and Ruger Blackhawk 44 Special, which is pretty close. No pair pictures though... guess I'll have to get on that.
Been wanting a Marlin 39 to go with my Single Six. I've owned one before and loved it.

So, more of a "combo" than a "pair", but does this count?
