Dang but that would create a sensation on the line at our quarter-bore shoot. Bee-yootiful!

Very unique old build! Too bad it was in such an oddball cartridge. What did it sell for?
Pre WWI Marlins and Singleshot rifles!

Earl, I immediately thought of the COSSA quarter-bore shoot when I saw it.

Re: Here s a different rolling block
And it's getting to be our most competitive event. Two of the newer Marlins, a winchester single-shot with custom barrel, a Stevens 44 in 25ss, dad's old m92 that seldom misses, and the m92 32/20 with re-lined barrel I got from Tycer (we let 32/20's into our quarter-bore shoot these days). Lots of rifles that are pretty dang fine shooters are getting deployed for the quarter-bore match this year. The July shoot I missed one shot out of 28 which pushed me to second and the two fellows who tied for third had also only missed one out of 28 but we break tie scores depending on which target got missed. The winner was Dan with the custom-twist single shot (10" twist lets him shoot 120 grain bullets that are less affected by wind) with a perfect (all 28). These quarter-bore rifles can fairly shoot!Bill in Oregon wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 6:28 pm Earl, I immediately thought of the COSSA quarter-bore shoot when I saw it.![]()
