I was working at our range and a couple brought in a new S&W .44 lever gun. It looked pretty good, stainless and a composite stock. It didn't look as 'tactical " as that new one someone posted awhile back. Marlin I think.
Anyways, as he cycling it, I see the trigger moving back and forth like it's on a pin. Apparently the trigger "wiggles" back and forth and it's normal! Never seen anything like it. It must work...the gal, who never shot a rifle before, shot the 200 yard steel 3X in a row!
I googled it and it's the way its made.

Re: S&W lever .44 Trigger
To me that sounds like a Marlin 336 -- which is where S&W stole the design...

Re: S&W lever .44 Trigger
I never noticed this on my 336 so I checked my Mod 30TK and you're right! It does move back and forth. The S&W was much more noticeable. It moved back and forth if you pointed the rifle down and then lifted it. Maybe because its newer?
