Frankford Universal Seating die

Post by GunnyMack »

Do any of you guys have one?
I just ordered one. Price was very reasonable compared to single caliber micrometer seater dies from any manufacturer. From .22 thru .338 with the window to top load bullets.
I figure now with the turret press it can stay in place and just have to swap out the bushings.
Oh and the reason for it is my on going search for a 257 AI load my rifle will shoot better than 1.5+" at 100. This rifle has driven me nuts since '93!

I've had mine for a couple years with no issues. I bought it when I got my 6.5 PRC to help dial in loads.

Die showed up at 10 minutes to 6 this morning! Gotta hand it to Amazon for delivery's.

Anyhow, I took the 257AI from the safe, put a bullet into a sized case and chambered it. From head to leade is right at 3.00". Now that I know that (again) I followed the directions with the die and now have figured 2 different bullets to be .015 off the lands. Even better I wrote this info on the wall so I can't lose it easily!
