Castboolits still down

They had hoped to get their server "migrated" yesterday. Must be having issues.

I did too, and I've been a contributor. Time to move on I guess and find another cast forum.

Bill,
It works for me as just a viewer, not poster. But that said, they have a message in the header::::
Attention --- New server active. If you have any issues with the software please post in the "Testing forum". Thank you.
So I looked in the Testing Area forum and found this top posting --- Testing new server. with text ---
Quick test post, new server
.

Some of the following posts stated that ---
it worked
some state that ---
attachments not working at all -
or
Cannot use attachments
The bottom line is it looks like it is working for them.

Here is a link to their contact page. https://castboolits.gunloads.com/sendmessage.php Maybe you can get this opened in a new tab and send them a message about your issues. I do not see a phone # to call them.

I saw somewhere that if you had a weak vpn, you might get “banned” by the system. Obviously that will be temporary. Just have to keep waiting a few days until the bugs get worked out.

Still getting this gibberish:
...operator not supported for strings on line 8 ... and five more lines.
if I try to paste the full code, it makes THIS server think I am up to something and gives me an error message.

It's working for me Bill. Using the Duckduckgo browser. Maybe you just need to clear your cache?

I am in the same boat as a number of other fellas according to the chat on the Castboolits Facebook page.
Even switched from Chrome to Safari (yuck) and the second I logged in it went back to the code error message.
And when I tried to sign in at Art of Bullet Casting, my registration has been held up pending my response to a confirmation email that I never receive, even in spam. What a week I'm having, and the colonoscopy Wednesday.

I hadn't signed on to Castboolits in a while and when I tried I get the same message as you are getting Bill -- "not supported for strings on line 8..."

Maybe they are shedding themselves of us "problem users".

Same here. I can see the site until I try to login ... then I'm doomed.

Oh, just tried again this evening and it's working now. What a cluster that upgrade was for them.

It was working fine for me, then yesterday didn't work at all. Then I noticed the site had me logged out, so I logged back in and it worked fine again.

But the same thing happened here today! I went to open a post to read and it took a full minute to open. Then it said "You don't have privileges to view this post"? I then realized I was suddenly not logged in here too! Logged back in and it's working normally here now. Not sure how I got logged out as I usually just keep logged in, and never had to do this before?

Give DuckDuckGo a try as your search engine, it's all I use and I was able to log in here or CB without any issues!
I do everything possible to avoid using the Gword search engines. They don't need to know what I'm looking at!

I always use Duck-Duck Go everywhere, but hasn't changed issues I occasionally have here. Cast Bullets forum was only a one day issue when they were down for upgrades.

seems to work

i never knew about that site

i registered and im in the "cooling off" period right now -

Looks a little spicier than the small leverguns corner of ARFCOM - - hadnt had much luck with other forums (besides this one) since John Taffins site kinda went by the wayside and turned into a host for his blogs - of which are still very interesting from time to time though

they seemed to be going thru update hell, but their entire site might have been corrupted by outsiders. we had a website that was taken over by chinese hackers in chicomlandia, brought down the entire vendor. stuff happens. i hope the database backups are isolated . . .

Just tried it again a few minutes ago and it worked fine. Really screwy. I posted at a topic there about site issues and mentioned a lot of people can't get on almost daily. So we'll see if they respond.
