Keep your eye on Starline's site. I got an email a couple weeks ago about a backorder I had with them for almost three years. Apparently they're about to fulfill those backorders, and I imagine that they'll also more than fulfill them in order to fill part of the demand.

Just got an email reply from lori collingwood of freedom arms re. .327 brass and they do N O T have any .327 brass in-stock and haven't had any for quite some time.

There are sites that will take your money with no intention of delivering a product. Beware of any site that promises availability of scarce brass and primers/percussion caps especially those that only take crypto currency.

Yes, there are a lot of scammers out there. But I don’t think Freedom Arms falls into that category. I saw that brass listed on their website and they should have taken it down if they didn’t have any. But I’ve bought items from Freedom Arms for many years and I know the Bakers personally. They have always been honest and trustworthy in my experience.

I certainly did not mean to disparage freedom arms. I was simply pointing-out that they do not have the brass in-stock. Their merchandise items listed are not current and since I went to the effort of emailing them I posted the results to save others from calling or emailing.

As for the rest of my comment, there are bogus sites that list scarcities (brass, primers, percussion caps) such as .327 & .480 and the like and they have similar u.r.l.s to legitimate, respected businesses. For instance, a simple internet search for ".327 brass for sale" prompts a.i. tailored, auto-generated sites within seconds that look similar to legitimate firms. Hundreds if not thousands of folk were duped during the recent percussion cap drought by these sites.

One suspicious example.....

No doubt. I’ve run across those sites while hunting.480 ammo.

The warning is a good one.

I just checked on Ammoseek.com and they didn't list anyone that had it. They're usually a good start for a search.

Mine's on the way as well, should arrive today. Interestingly it's still "Unavailable" and "No Backorder" on Starline's site. Perhaps retailers will be putting it online and on the shelves soon. I'm just glad I got my order in when I did, it went "no backorder" shortly after I backordered, back in January 2021.

When I first read that .327 backorders were soon to be fulfilled I contacted grafs and the lady responded that starline backorders are awarded in chronological order and they have had some 10,000 on order since 2018. So I'm hoping that starline has made at least a quarter to half millions so most everybody gets theirs.

Powder Valley just sent out a bulletin about a big stock of Starline brass coming in. BUT, 327 Federal Magnum is NOT on the menu. It kind of makes me figure that perhaps they underestimated the demand... - but I admit that I've little to zip knowledge about the whole supply chain of reloading brass works. I figured that since they'd done a run of 32 SWL that it was OBVIOUS they'd be immediately doing the 32 H&R and 327 Magnum also. But that was two and a half years ago. My back order was delivered a couple weeks ago. Now we wait to see how long 'til 327 Federal Magnum hits the retailers shelves.
