On page eight of the manual/instructions link and illustration 1b you can vaguely see four plug screws on top receiver.

.
Good guns are getting expensive (…or actually, the fiat money we call a ‘dollar’, is worth less…).
“Suggested Retail $1,239.00"
But then a companion Ruger RedHawk lists about the same.

They are to attach a rail or regular scope mount but I like a longer sight radius and went with this (please disregard the abuse I used it often ) and want to have the peep for back up. https://xssights.com/products/marlin ... ded.html

And, specifically, what "peep" is this?
I would really appreciate model numbers.
I don't want to punch the ticket on this rifle in 44 mag unless I can
a) mount a receiver sight, and, perhaps when I get older...
b) mount an optic such as is shown in some of this thread.
tanks, y'all.

Using is not abusing. Left slumbering in the gun safe, now that's abuse.
The marks of that use tell a story and should never be erased.

The Zeiss Red Dot pops off by pushing a button on the side of the sight. in the 20 years I have had them (TWO) they have never failed with the solar panel on top. I used one on my MP-5 in Afghanistan when I joined this group.pcmacd wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 7:59 pmAnd how to find the PEEP SIGHT?Paladin wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 7:57 pmThey are to attach a rail or regular scope mount but I like a longer sight radius and went with this (please disregard the abuse I used it often ) and want to have the peep for back up. https://xssights.com/products/marlin ... ded.html

Re: MAR 1894 CLASSIC 44M drilled and tapped
I read an article about the new Marlins, said D&T for scope base, which base? Always best to contact the rifle maker and get it right from the horses mouth.
It would be nice if they just slipped a base in the box with the gun.
