Use them for powder charges in your percussion guns.
Using Triple 7 in the 1851 Navy .36
Cracked 30-30 cases and rubber erasers
Weighing powder charges
Dumping the charge into the 30-30 case
Capping it with the rubber eraser
Ready for the Range ..
Makes loading loose powder and ball much easier and faster using the pre-weighed charges. If you use a capping tool it speeds things up even more.

Not a BP shooter but that's a pretty cool idea. I love using things made for one use on another and using something no longer useful for it's intended purpose on something else . . . brilliant!

My Dad used this method for his original 1858 Remingtons back in the 1950's. The 30-30 case will hold about 40 gr. of FFFg black powder. Dad would make up 30-30 cases with powder in them and carry them in his pocket for reloads when he was hunting.

That's a cool idea Jim, I used to all sorts of plastic or glass containers but they either held to much or not enough and certainly didn't look right in my possibles bag
