Re: SR4759 in 300BLK?
.
Was actually gonna make that my 'main' powder, but the AA1680 seemed better for everything from 125 gr to 220 gr bullets, and a few pounds load a ton of rounds, so I went with that instead - https://ammoguide.com/cgi-bin/ai.cgi?sn ... &catid=808. 5744 is similar though, and there are some manufacturer-published loads for that:
Interesting to me that the SR4759 and AA5744 are both often used as 'black powder substitutes' and so it makes me wonder if one could use (not that it would be practical) black powder in the 300 Blk. For a single-shot, particular a break-open mechanism, it would have little disadvantage ballistically - just the 'smoke' might give away position if you were concerned with that.

Thanks, AJ. On the 300blk site, the only guy that said he used SR4759 didn't give a load!

SR4759 powder has been out of production for a good 7 years or so....
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Yah, me too.
I'm sure it will come in handy eventually.
I use it in my Savage Muzzleloader, if nothing else. And I think I used it last time I loaded up some 444 Marlins.

Wheel that is 3 of us who read the handwriting on the wall and stocked up on SR4750 when it was still available!
