Uberti 1875 Outlaw (Remington New Army in .357 Mag)
Ever walk into one of those "modern gun shops" where 95% of the gear & guns is black, plastic or tactical -- or all 3!?! -- and they also sell body armor, helmets and powder to stop major blood loss? Well, most of the stuff for sale in those stores makes me gag -- and also very concerned about our youth and the future of the shooting sports -- but once in awhile, you can find a bargain for an "obsolete, old-style gun" in a shop like that.
I just found this used, but really nice Uberti 1875 Outlaw today and while it wasn't on my "Want" list, I could not pass it up -- especially as they'd just dropped the price by $100 because it didn't sell for the Christmas rush ("wrong crowd" shops there, I guess...). I basically got it for 40% off the price if new.
Anyway, I do have other guns to use, but this will be a nice companion piece for my Marlin Cowboy also in .357 Mag.
Can't wait to get this out to the range! The action is very smooth and the fit of the bolt to the frame & cylinder is perfect (that's been an issue on 2 different Uberti's that I've owned); and each of those also needed a de-burr and tune-up -- while this one does not. It's slick.
Cheers!

How does it feel in the hand compared to Colt SAA? I've always liked the looks of these.

Re: Uberti 1875 Outlaw (Remington New Army in .357 Mag)
I love the Remington's, and prefer them to my Colts. They just feel better, the hammer is easier to reach, is a bit heftier. I have 2 44/40's that I've been shooting CAS for about a dozen years and have never had an issue with them. Just bought a 1890 version that I should have in hand tomorrow, in 45 Colt.

To keep it alive, just got this home today, Uberti Remington 1890, 45 Colt.

Nice revolvers!
I've been looking at the 1890s for awhile. Love the lanyard ring!

I don't like that ring, serves no purpose that I know of, at least not in modern times. I don't know yet how it's attached, but it will soon be unattached.

Helps keep your gun near. I keep my micro flashlight on a lanyard after losing one. I’ve found it dangling from my belt many times

Re: Uberti 1875 Outlaw (Remington New Army in .357 Mag)
One of my regrets in my gun life is selling my original nickeled 1875 Remington in .44-40! A friend had an 1881 Marlin in .45-70 I wanted, and I traded the 1875 for the 1881 and got some cash to boot. Missed it ever since.
I think these Ubertis are a really nice clone and tempting me to try to find one.
