It used to be my favourite night of the year, loud bangs and plenty of black powder smoke. It's a lot tamer now since the health and safety police spoilt the fun, I once put out all the street lights one by one, all it took was a penny banger in the drainage hole at the base of each lamp post..... 
Guy Fawkes was probably the only man to enter Parliament with honest intentions..... My boss's old house where I was gamekeeper it was one of the conspirators houses with loads of history.

Complete waste of powder if you ask me.
When I was living in town it sounded like Beirut all night!
