OT - Is Freeport, IL under water?

Post by jdad »

I won an auction, but have not been able to contact the seller, by phone or email, so I was just curious if Freeport was under.

Thanks
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

jdad,

They've had some pretty bad storms up there in the last several days, but I don't think they are under water.

I almost took a job there 2.5 years ago. It's got a small river running through it, but otherwise is nicely above the water. I really doubt it could flood beyond a few swampy areas in the north end of the city. It's a really nice city with friendly people as far as I'm concerned. Having to turn down the job at the last moment will undoubtedly turn out to have been one of the bigger disappointments of my life.
