How refreshing!

Post by Walker »

Sold the house in San Diego and moved back home to Oklahoma in July. Haven't seen 1 BLM yard sign since and folks are friendly. Now just need to find out where everyone's going to shoot their old Winchesters.

Wish you the best my friend. I am moving south from Ukiah, CA, to South Orange County at the end of the month. Not nearly as gun friendly down there, but a better shooting range is also available there about two hours away. Thankfully my shooting friends are nearby to there, so its not a problem and I have a place to hang my hat and friends to shoot with (even Old Savage when he can take time away from his golf game! LOL) . We can shoot steel there to 600 yards which is an improvement to the 400 yard limit here in Ukiah. It's a nice club run by good people.

I will be stuck here in Commiefornia for the forseable future but I will have as good a deal as you can have in Commiefornia. I may just end up here to the end if I can find a job in a religious school as a part-time school psychologist.

I'm also from Kansas on my Dad's side, been there many times, still have family there, enjoy the mid-west.

I wish you the best. Hope you find a good place to shoot!

Theres the OKC gun club just East of Edmond, by Arcadia. Waiting list though. Think there is a range South of Ninnekah, North of Rush Springs (South of the Chickasha area). Used to be Tri-city down South of Norman, but I think it might be closed nowadays.

Thanks Guys. I'll miss my hunting buddies but I won't miss hunting the Mojave. I've got family with land around Tulsa but we're too far away. Not necessarily a bad thing. Best of luck Tutt! Thanks Rockrat, I'll check out the OKC gun club wait list.

Sometimes when you're young and idealistic you can live in a bad place and be a good person and maybe even find a few friends and convert some people to a decent way of life.

There comes a point however when it's better to just hang around good people and a good place and live a good life. Some communities are full of materialistic superficial violent people otherwise known as Democrats. 50 years ago Democrats weren't like that, but times have changed.

Oklahoma is gun friendly, and there are numerous places the state has set up for public shooting areas. My brother lives on the north side of Thunderbird Lake and there's a shooting area there for the public. Only 100 yds. but it's an option.
