I've been wanting one for years but kept putting it off for one thing or another. Over the last year or so when you couldn't touch one for under $2500 I was kicking myself for not getting one. Now that the supply has sort of caught up with demand the one I'd ordered a few weeks ago came in while we were in the Keys.
Watching the John Wick movies didn't help, but one of my favorite lines from the movie is " May I suggest the Benelli M4? An Italian classic."
Just so happens that I'll be going right past the gun club tomorrow on the way to a write an estimate on a new fire loss.

Can't go wrong with that! I love my M1Super 90. Mine is gotta be 30 years old, imported by H&K, never failed to work with any loads. It sees mostly buckshot now. I have 2 barrels , 5 chokes plus a rifled choke that is surprisingly accurate!
The only other semi auto. defensive stye shotgun I've had was a Mossberg 930 SPX. I liked the gun but I could only get it to shoot with any reliability was with Winchester ammo. Should have sent it in to Mossberg, but I traded it off on something.
I have a friend w/ an M4 and it's never let him down.

I spent about an hour with the M4 this afternoon. It's a beast! Rifled slugs at 50 and 75 yds had the steel gong bouncing all over. I had some Herters brand No.1 buck and round ball that was just tearing up the old bowling pins lying around and same for the S&B 00 buck. The El Cheapo Grande Walmart Winchester field loads worked but I had a couple of failures to eject. No surprise there, pretty much what I expected.
From there I headed off to my apt. at a county courthouse in Fremont, OH. They had a small fire in the bell tower. Stored in the attic is the actual gallows that was used for public hangings up until the last in 1883. The original rope was stored elsewhere. Betting they were a bit better behaved in those days.

Nice ! I’ve had a couple Benelli’s over the years . First was a fully camoed SBE the second was a NOVA and now I have a circa 1980’s Montefeltro blued walnut stock with a 24” factory screw choke barrel . Not sure why I got it but I liked it so .,,...... ! It did do nicely to get me an honest to goodness double on whitetails
Parkers , Mannlicher Schoenauer’s , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines !
