Left hand concealed carry
Friend asked me about left hand concealed carry auto, no double stacks.
Re: Left hand concealed carry
I use a shoulder holster for large automatics and in the front pocket of my jeans for the smaller ones.
Re: Left hand concealed carry
An ambidextrous safety helps, used a small of the back holster. It wasn't so great as I got older and had a shoulder injury.
Re: Left hand concealed carry
Well now your friend has rejected many great options by requesting only single stack autos. But a 1911 with ambi controls works fine. The Glock 36 is another single stack option.
As to carrying method, no single method always works. My preferred method is OWB cross draw. But, I also carry strong side OWB, I have had occasion to use shoulder holsters or eve pocket or ankle carry.

He is not a gun guy and doesn’t want anything as big as a Glock or 1911.
I have done a lot of shooting, have never carried a gun.

I regularly carry a Nighthawk Talon, its single stack and ambi.

Sig P238 with added factory ambidextrous safety. Crossbreed small OWB holster.
KelTec P3AT or Ruger equivalent in front pocket. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Left hand concealed carry
I've got a Glock 43 single stack 9mm that I've put the mag release on the right side for left hand use along with a Bianchi 101-16 made for right hand use that has the stitching rather proud of the leather that scuffs up the belt when used normally, so decided to use it on left side with stitching on the outside with my G43. Works great and conceals the G43 pretty good. HTH

I'm a lefty and carry a Colt lightweight commander in a El Paso high and tight holster.
Also a double stack Sig P228. After a hour or two I don't even notice that I'm wearing it.
I think a good quality belt and holster is imperative while lugging any firearm.
I handled one of the newer Sig P225 single stack auto's. It felt super light.
That's about as small as I could ever go myself.
Extra large hands and small guns doesn't work for me.

Any number of fine, small 9mm out there.
I love my LCP, but that might be smaller than some would want.
