Nice SRC. I like old Winchesters that show that they've been around for a long time and have a lot of stories to tell.

cedars and a magnificent Whitetail buck framed in the semi-buckhorn sights of a 120-year old Winchester.

Thanks for the help with the picture.
It does have the cabine style curved steel but plate but has no sadle ring. Its quite acurate but it shoots rather high.
I will either look for a taller front sight that pins in the same way, or I might need to file the notch in the ladder a little.
Some pureists will say not change anything, but If I file the notch just a we bit then rub a little gun oil on it it should be might hard to see.

I have an old SRC that shot high also. Get in touch with winchesterbob.com He has replacement front sights that pin in on the old Winchesters. They are nickle steel and post design so you can file it to suit you. IMO, a much better option than filing the rear sight and about $20.tj3006 wrote:It does have the cabine style curved steel but plate but has no sadle ring. Tell us about the interesting knife.
It appears similar to one made by Monarch about 35 years ago.
