Re: NRA Life Member
My family got a Life Membership for me for my 40th birthday, that was in 1980.
Re: NRA Life Member
.
FWIW, I became a lifer in 1971 for $125 (3 payments of $25ea), when the NRA told me my 5yr membership ($25) could be counted towards life.

Congratulations Blaine, and thanks for becoming a Life Member!
I joined yearly back in the 70's, and around 1980 I became a Life member when they offered the payment plan.

Re: NRA Life Member
Back in the early 90s I started the Payment Plan and was about half way through it when I had to cancel my credit card due to fraud. I brain-farted the automatic withdrawals for NRA and lost all that I had put into the plan. They didn't cut me any slack and I was mad enough that I didn't re-join again for a couple years. This second time, I was about half way through the plan and when Cabellas changed their credit card system, I just went ahead and paid it off.marlinman93 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 12:33 pm Congratulations Blaine, and thanks for becoming a Life Member!

Re: NRA Life Member
Back when I changed from annual to Life I was one year into the 3 yr. renewal. To my surprise they credited the last two years towards mt Life membership, so it cost me $40 less on the total! Not a huge savings, but I appreciated it anyway.

Re: NRA Life Member
For my 16th birthday (1974) I was hoping for my own set of keys to the family car, instead my Dad handed me an envelope with a life membership in it. If I remeber they had a deal on second memberships if it was for someone under 16. As I look back now, that was my best birthday present!
