Please post political post in the new Politics forum.
On 1 July 18, bump stocks and other enhancements that enable guns to fire faster will no longer be allowed for sale.
On 1 July 19, it will be a FELONY to own any such thing.
This could be an open-ended can of worms and "enhancement" could well mean anything they want it to mean.
There is some speculation on my part that a trigger job might be such an enhancement.
Beware. It's going to be dangerous to own and use guns in Washington from now on and I expect it to get much worse.
Something else that recently passed is that if some glitch makes you fail a background check, your name will be reported to local LEOs.
I didn't put this in Politics, nor should it be. It's WAY more than that.

Blaine,
It's a hit and miss on the "being turned down" after trying to buy a gun. My buddy at Targetmaster has complained to L.E. for some time as people with felonies fill out the paperwork.....yes, they lie....and after they are turned down, my buddy complains as he tells the cops its against the law to even apply to buy a gun, knowing you cannot own one, yet the State Police do not go after these people.
Then there are guys who had a DUI back in 1973 who get turned down. I personally know a guy who was turned down because he had to pay a $15 fine in 1959 for shooting rats in a Philadelphia dump!
As for bump stocks and other "enhancements" well, that's going to be a mess. Someone here had a post on such matters the other day (doc?) and the conclusion is that your FINGER can be illegal if you manipulate the trigger too fast. Rubber bands and tape can be illegal.......God Bless Donald Trump for being POTUS...IF the sea hag made it, we might all be in a mess.
I've decided to hold on to my Binary triggers. If worst comes to worst, I will lose $1600 but....if I win, and here in Pa. being a very gun friendly state, I will win the same way those guys back in the seventies won with the auto sears.
Not all that long ago, Washington had some of the very best gun laws. State constitutional concealed carry and open carry. No restrictions on much of anything if at all. Well, as soon as they change the state constitution, it'll all be over. I hope that New California thing happens. You'll find me around Susanville.

Blaine, you might think about moving to Texas.
I've been through several times. Except for the big cities, I sure liked what I saw. Daughter seems firmly ensconced in the Tacoma. She's the only family I have that I care about seeing. Many parts of eastern AZ are surely nice, as well. I may have to be satisfied with visiting as often as I can.

That bill has been amended to only cover bumpfire stocks I have heard. Before it was so vague that even installing any
After market trigger would be against the law. Mine have Timney triggers in them
