Oh ya but not much power, would work good for knocking toy army men over.
Marble goes in barrel then pull back the rod and let her go. :)

That's really cool, Pitchy! My kids would have loved that when they were young.
I traced my 1911 on some pine and made elastic band guns for all three boys. They are all grown and gone and we are still finding elastics from all yhe shootouts.

I put a cut off clothespin on the back with a rod made out if a wire coathanger running through a drilled hole down to the trigger.

Cool cannon Pitchy!

OlWin, My boys had to learn to fire with thumb release clothespins. I didn't get fancy enough to put triggers on the rubber band guns we made. Made some double barreled ones too.

M.M.
I hear you. Mine was a very stylish "L" with a clothepin screwed to the back with the "squeeze to fire" system.
Wanted to do something cooler for the kids.

Slingshot ammo comes in little steel balls, and it could be propelled a little faster. A spring fired toy cannon could be a lot of fun with those metal balls. I guess i will have to get some iron pipe and start playing with it until I can make it work. To avoid broken windows, maybe I will need to watch out and keep the power low. If it is anywhere near accurate, the squirrels better watch out. I would love to bombard the squirrels.
