November G&A Issue

Post by Haycock »

Has a really nice spread-piece on the Marlin 39...

Just thought I'd mention it... I picked up a copy but haven't read the article yet...

My "new to me" 39a was just sent out in the mail today. Looks like there's a good chance that my rifle and the magazine will show up at the post office the same day. :D

I stopped taking G&A last year. Too many crappy articles about all the NEWEST, MUST HAVE, ULTRA SHORT FAT MAGNUM JUNK. Got NO use for that poor excuse for a gunrag.

Hey.... not for nuthin' gents, but the article (which I just read) is very, very positive towards the 39, Marlin and leverguns in general, and contains numerous facts which I had never encountered regarding the subject model, one of which I own.

I'm sure your ire towards G&A is based on a lot of real issues, but to be fair... in this case.... they done okay.

Not trying to change any minds here (a more futile task in general is not known to man)... I'm just sayin'.........

There is also a good article (adjacent to the 39 one) about restored and replica Winchester "One of One Thousand"s...

Two leverguns articles in one issue............ hhhhhmmmmm.................

I'll have to look for it.

I've engraved a couple 1 of 1000's over the last 3 years.

Would love a 39A also. Should'a bought one years a go, but then I probably would have sold it by now...
