I went to a local pawn shop today at found a very nice 1892 Winchester in 44 WCF. It is the best original That I have ever seen outside a museum. Its 244XXX serial number would put it after 1900 a year or three. The sights may not be original but everything else appears untouched. The store has it marked at $1500, and won't budge at all on the price.
Is the price reasonable? Is it more than reasonable? Should I jump on it?
