My .30 Carbine Combo

Post by Winjester »

I thought I'd post my .30 carbine combo. I really like the .30 carbine cartridge. [img][/img]
The lever is a Marlin model 62 in .30 carbine manufactured in 1966. The revolver is the new model Ruger Blackhawk in .30 Carbine. I couldn't leave out the gun that started it all, the US Cal. 30 M1. It's an Inland manufactured in 10-43.

The 30 carbine Marlin is a mystery to me. But I've handled several in 22 MAG at gun shows. Nicely made rifles!

How does your Marlin group those 110 grain bullets? Ever hunted with it?
Please share more info.

I read the biography of Audy Murphy years ago. He killed a number of enemy soldiers with those potent little bullets. Audy Murphy was a highly decorated WW2 Veteran.

Wouldn't it have been cool if they had made that leveraction capable of accepting the M1 Carbine magazines? 8)

I DO like using my little .22 Ruger lever action with the 50 round magazines, even though they stick out and look silly; just being able to lever off 50 shots before reloading makes any tin cans within 75 yards tremble in fear.
