Picked up a couple newish/ used shooters last weekend and had time to stop by the range.
I was really looking forward to shooting this Ruger MK II target. Shooting off hand to see how well it functioned and goofing off. It really likes the CCI Stingers and also shot well with some Winchester 40gr. HP power Points. Had several failures to fire with Remington Golden bullet solids but I've had that problem with that ammo in other .22s.
Perfect day in Northern Ohio!
I didn't catch that the rear sight was so loose that eventually it fell off. That explains the high and right heavy groups.
Also picked up this butt kickin' Delaware State Police marked 870! I'll be out shooting this one tomorrow.

Quick trip to the range today. ( Again)

Wow, good shotgun find, beauty. Hey, you could send that MK ll to DPris, he could really break that baby in for you...

My MKII Government Target is easily the most accurate pistol I have. Wonderful pieces.

Re: Quick trip to the range today.
I love it when range day weather cooperates. Makes me happy just seeing that pic.
Up north here it's pretty much useless to have a pistol if you really want to have fun, at least to me anyhow. Too much red tape.
Sweet shotgun though.
Careful with that 870.. could go off at any second!
Love range reports. Thanks.

Re: Quick trip to the range today.
Jason,
Should not have made it a "quick" trip to he range. Stay longer next time as we all get only so many trips to the range.
Don't concern yourself with the non firing Rem. ammo. There's been a lot of that the last couple of years with Rem ammo. I was told they got their act together last year on that issue.
Yea, not much beats a day of solitude at the gunclub.-------6

Sounds like a great day with a great gun.

The 870's a keeper!! Ran through 50 rounds like lightning.
You can just make out the DSP markings. No idea how old it is but it functions like new and doesn't look like
it's been used much either.
Another good therapy session! Feeling a big difference in just a month. I was out a month ago with the Winchester and had some difficulty loading and picking up empties. Today the hands are working better and no issues picking up empty shells!
Another beautiful day to be out in the sticks! I had taken a couple of pictures of the range but must have had something on the lens so I trashed them.
