Not to upstage Mossyoaks beautiful 444 Marlin, but I also got another one this weekend at an auction. A Marlin 336 TS "Texan w/ an 18 1/2" bbl made in 1983. I got an identical one a month ago made in 1984. How lucky is that?!!
I didn't even know they made them and now got 2 in a month.
There's a few light scratches on the wood, but the metal is perfect. I almost looks unfired.
I'm a happy camper to say the least. It's the one on the bottom.

That is the only style Marlin lever gun I can shoot without pain and discomfort.
I'd grab one of those in a heartbeat had I the chance.

I cleaned the wood up this morning and it came out really good. The wood was dirty and smeared....cleaning sure made a difference.
I hope my luck hangs in there!! ( Come to think of it, I'm not sure I can afford any more good luck.)

Congratulations. . . . a set of Twins...!
The only thing is, as siblings, they may quarrel, so as a favor to you, I'd be happy to take one off your hands for a few years.
