Carry leather squeaks

Just got my Simply Rugged pancake for the Bulldog, put it on and I squeak when I walk.
Ideas? Wear ear buds so I don't hear it?

Actually, Bill, squeaking/creaking leather is exactly why I abandoned leather holsters for my hunting handguns (a S&W M29, A Ruger .44 SBH, & a Ruger .454 SRH) in favor of Bianchi Ranger 4100-series Cordua Nylon cross-chest bandolier holsters.

IME, the only time that leather doesn't squeak/creak is after it gets broken down & softened - not what's preferable for CCW.

I carry my .44 Bull Dog in this very inexpensive ($5) Crossman nylon holster (they're also available in black or a tan camo).

Before you put a bunch of liquids on leather, try and locate the squeak. Once you find it put a little talcum or baby powder on the offending area. This usually takes care of the squeak, and if you do use baby powder you'll have a nice aroma about you as well.

Rub a candle on the squeaky area. The wax will prevent noise from rubbing as you move.

that's possible. I had a squeaking strap fitting on my helly hansen britches and it called in a big doe, looking for me with her ears up and a smile . . .

A friend of mine that is a retired big city policeman, does exactly that - whether out to dinner, shopping, deer hunting, pheasant hunting, or travelling, the well worn wooden grips of his backup .38 revolver are visible to the trained eye.

Kinda comforting too, to realize that he is still "on duty".
