Guess I am feeling old and nostalgic today.
I always thought Audrey Hepburn was the most classically beautiful actress of the whole post-war era.
The most beautiful AND sultry? Only one name: Julie Christie.
And the one who stole my heart? Hayley Mills!

Elke Sommers was my favorite. I always liked natural blondes. My wife is of Swedish-American descent and also a natural blonde. She hates blonde jokes!

What I think is interesting is when you browse internet photos of these 1960's-era hotties, their current photos will be mixed in, and how often they are STILL so beautiful and sexy. Their facial structures change, their round-parts have shrunk and/or relocated a bit, but their smiles and eye-twinkles still convey a deep sensuousness that you just don't see in the current crop of young hottie starlets.

Blaine, Diana Rigg was smoking in "The Avengers." Julie Andrews is still beautiful.
Who can forget Elke Sommer in "A Shot in the Dark"?
And Eleanor Donahue was so adorable as the pharmacist Ellie Walker in the first couple of seasons of "The Andy Griffith Show."
Someone who really surprised me with the depth of her talent, and who still just dazzles me, is sweet Sally Field. She's still got that "smile like an acre of sunflowers."

I will always love Sophia Loren for an interview with Barbra Walters.
Walters remarked that her husband was not a handsome man.
Her reply, "You do not see him with my eyes."
What a woman!

That was my first thought,...but looked her up. She was born in '62, and had her first gig at age 3, so technically, she qualifies for the era. That is, if you want to call somebody that young beautiful.

Like the actress's of today, none from any era would give anyone here a second look if stumbled upon in the street. I prefer to spend my silver screen money on Winchesters and Colts. Besides, like the common variety, the rich ones also smell like fish.
