Couldn't resist! 1866 in 38-40
I just got a flyer from Dixie Gun Works with some amazing deals....Being a sucker for ANYTHING in 38-40 they have the Uberti 1866 Carbine on sale for $825! Can't beat that with a stick.
Ordered one up lickity split! Never seen them prices anywhere that low for a brand new Uberti!

Dang! That's really tempting, especially since I just sold a couple of SAAs and my gun money runneth over.

M.M., if you're flush, why not share the wealth and buy my Snider in the classifieds so I can buy a .38-40!

If only it was a '73... I've always liked the look of the '66s, in other peoples hands... The best looking ones have a nice patina to the brass, dull going dark... Pics are de-rigor!

I didn't used to be a fan of pistol-grip buttstock rifles, but since I bought my Uberti 1873 Sporting Rifle, I wouldn't have a lever rifle without it. 24" Octagon barrel; & chambered in .45 Colt, & BOY is it a work of art!!! Also have 2 Marlin 336s in .35 Remington as well. You'll LOVE that Yellow Boy, but then, you already know that. Have fun, jd45

Roy, I hate to judge before all the facts are in but I'd say you might just qualify as a levergunner!
Good gracious that's a nice collection!

A couple years ago I didn't own one lever action..........Found this site and the Sport of Cowboy Action Shooting and miraculously the lever actions started appearing! I have no explanation! I have something like 16 of them now......Honest...It just happens!
