Sounds like a LTD V by Davidson and, if so, will have a 24" barrel. The LTD II had a full length octogonal barrel and pistol grip stock. All others in the series had straight grips.
meanc,
Those aren't all mine, but one can dream . I borrowed the pic some time ago with permission from someone I've long since forgotten to show others the differences in the LTD line. The question comes up often enough that the picture comes in fairly handy. It's one of those occasions where a picture is really worth 1,000 words. I only have the V, the latest one.
I've also used the pic on several occasions to ask Davidsons why they can't do the same in different chamberings. I'd love to see them do the same in 444 or 30-30.
That is a nice looking rifle. I should have bought 1 when they were available. I also like the 18.5 full mag octogon version. I have thought of cutting down my cowboy to 22 inches, but it still wouldn't be half oct, half round. I think they made 5 different version's of this limited series (I might be wrong). Again nice rifle good luck with it.

It is a Davidson's LTD V, I have one also. They are fun to shoot. I find mine to be very accurate with any reasonable load. Have been using 420 gr LNFNGC from a Ballisticast mold with success.

Couldn't post that pic here?
