Who needs a gun in a sanctuary city anyway? Once you hit the Frisco city limits you're safe - safe. What part of safe don't you understand.

Los Angeles is also a sanctuary city. What recently happened in San Francisco is nothing new here. The only difference was it happened in a tourist area.
I'm a strong believer that if cities want sanctuary status, they do not need any federal or state funding.

It's hard to think that I bought a rifle in San Francisco when there was no papers to sign or such stuff as now. I was on my way to Fort Ord Sept 1958. My plane landed and got a room, started walking the street, found a pawn shop that had a real slick 94 Winchester 30-30 for fifty bucks. Paid the man and he shipped it back home to my dad free of charge. Dad took some nice Michigan bucks with it before he died in 1962, he had the Marbles tang sight put on. It still is a fine looking rifle. So much for the great queer city.

It's reflective of the views of the majority. And a lack of tolerance for the desires of a minority. "Law-abiding" is apparently defined out there as a desire to shrug off the mantel of personal responsibility, self reliance, patriotism and self-determination that created this nation.

Griff, it isn't reflective of the majority. If you look at how the gay marriage stuff went it'd be obvious.Griff wrote:It's reflective of the views of the majority. 1. Judge declares ban on gay marriage illegal.
2. Using the initiative process the majority pass a law making it illegal.
3. Judges declare it is unconstitutional under the California constitution.
4. Using the process available the majority amend the state constitution.
5. Judges declare it is unconstitutional under the US constitution.
Clearly the will of the majority no longer counts, only the will of a bunch of old fanny burbs in DC. And they apparently do not pay attention to the document, only their own political bent.
Sadly, a good portion of the voting public, some in cities but more in rural areas don't vote. Either they believe their votes aren't enough to make a change or they just don't out of laziness. When the majority of residence voice their opinion conservative issues usually win out.

Re: The Last Gun Store In San Fran Gives Up
I lived the East Bay (Castro Valley) for over 30 years and worked in San Francisco for 26 years. And given what I saw, I am surprised Bob Chow's old shopt lasted this long. When San Frisco closed San Francisco Gun Exchange through city ordinances allegedly enacted to stop gun violence I the 1990's, the hand writing was on the wall.
I am a life member at Chabot Gun Club and often visited with Bob Chow and his wife when they shot there. Bob, a fellow master Mason, was a real gentleman and a very skilled gunsmith, especially known for his work on the Colt 1911A1.
And just remember, the city officials are only doing what the voters want them to do, otherwise the populace would not elect and re-elect them....

The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Re: The Last Gun Store In San Fran Gives Up
The part of CA I live in, currently, is pretty conservative. Ranchers mostly, folks that know hard work, and are very conservative.
The political demographics here are slowly changing, as folks from LA and Bay areas are retiring and moving here for it's scenic beauty, plus it's about 18 miles to the beach. They are bringing their money and liberal influence with them and it's starting to show. In spite of how they act, liberals seem, to me, to have more money than most, and have no problem slinging it around to get what they want. Plus they have the backing of freaks like George Soros with unlimited funds, and it spells doom for freedoms. They are doing the same thing against hunting. Look at it and learn, or else it will bite you in the *** later.
Jeepnik nailed it exactly. We have voted this stuff down time after time, and the freaking liberal judges re-write the laws, at both state and federal level.
It is all very disturbing.
