May not look quite full, but with at least 600+ rounds in there, it's plenty heavy! It was > third full yesterday. I had 3 of the 4 fluorescent ballasts go out in the shop... it sure seemed might dim in there with only one 8' double bulb fixture working. Got the other three installed and set up to start loading... & realized that I only had ½ a box of 200 gr .452 RFN lead bullets to load with. Upcoming match brochure said each shooter 230 rounds for the main match. Since the boy is going with me... that's 460 rounds, plus qualifying rounds (velocity check), the "mini-practice" match, and side events. Off to the toy store after a call to make sure he had some! Scored a 1lb of Unique also! He even had several 8 lb jugs! But, nothing I could afford that day!
Back home and began loading... in the heat of the day! @ around 200 rounds I called it a day... then came inside the a/c and checked 'em for size... drat, won't go in the Wilson Case check die! (I'd test fired 3 to check that my load would pass the minimum, and had no problems thru the 1911). But, they wouldn't fit in the checker. So I sat and ran them thru the Lee Factory Taper Crimp die on the Lee Hand Loader, and ran them all thru the checker. All good. Then sat and loaded up 4 more primer tubes to finish off the ammo needs for the match.
Went out today and finished loading. First, I put the Lee FCD in the 4th hole on the Dillon 550B and went to town! Had one primer flip halfway... and crushed it!

Pretty well smashed to get it out of the shell plate. I read on several forums about guys that set them off in their Dillon 650s, and wonder just how that's accomplished. I've mashed up several over the nearly 30 years I've ran this press, and never had one go "POP"!
