Political - More on Cosby (Why can't HE run for president!)

Post by AJMD429 »

We need politicians with the gonads to speak this clearly on all issues (not just race).

The media would crucify him long before he got nominated -
precisely because he has gonads and speaks the truth!

Yep - but I think he's smart enough to realize it wouldn't be worth the grief it would bring him and his family to go through what it would take to run for president.

I'm just glad we have people like McCain who have proved themselves - I still have some minor reservations about him but think he's the best we have now.

Why do you think that he would be a good President?

I am constantly amazed at how we grasp at straws because somebody says something that we agree with and we want to follow him as our leader.

Not a good plan.

Personally I'm in favor of getting rid of the Executive branch and getting the Legislative branch to actually listen to the people. And place term limits on the Judicial branch to make them accountable.

As I get closer to finishing my read of The Anti-Federalist Papers it's almost haunting to see that many of the fears of Brutus, Cato and DeWitt have come true with regards to the federal government.

Personally, I'm in favor of firing everyone in every branch of government and starting over from scratch.

That would NEVER work. Anytime there was a majority of either party, it would rule, period. I personally think we have the best system in existance, it just doesn't always go like WE think it should.

One has to look beyond our government to see it's the people that are failing the system. WE are not involved enough with self governing, nor do we, as a people demand it.

The Jews first went to the Pharoh to get food during a severe drought and famine (welfare). As a result, they were enslaved for 400 years. Of course they became unhappy with that, who would not? But believe it or not, after Moses led them from slavery, to the desert, where they again fell on hard times for food, they began to complain and actually said they'd rather go back to the pharoh, at least there they were fed.

I think we, as a nation, have done the same thing. Look at what the main topics of the campaigns have been.

When am I going to get free health care?

When is the Govmt. going to provide ME with a job?

Will the Govmt. make sure I will have Social Security when I retire?

It's all about what they will do for me, not what am I doing for myself. As long as we vote in those that push us into a welfare state, or Socialist state, it will only get worse.

In truth, I feel there is no cure for this countries ails, short of everyone getting on bended knee before Christ.

getting rid of the presidency. they have that in England, the muslims own it now, or will for certain soon.

now firing everyone in government, yeah, do it. I'm all in favor of that one.

but to the topic at hand, I read that article about Cosby. It was a black man criticizing Cosby for not having the same grasp of black history that the writer has, and lamenting the lost feelings from marching with Farrakhan(sp).

Cosby is a racist, hates white folks, just has a different recipe for elevating his own race. He has the right recipe, it would work, it could work, it should work.

Personally I don't think any of this stuff gets fixed before Jesus of Nazareth returns and sets his foot on Mount Olive. That's when all of this stuff is gonna get reoriented. And I think the more the fiddlers try to fiddle with it, the worse it's gonna get.

Either that or the Bible is full of lies. I'm siding with the Bible on this.

Cosby as president? What's he know how to run? Give me an oil man any day... just no more lbj please...

Anyone that is a racist is a complete moron. It's people's actions and choices that make them bad, not what color they are. And there is too much racism in this country of ours.

I wouldn't want a white crack-head living next to me just as much as I wouldn't want a black, brown, red or yellow crack-head living next to me. For me they are all equally loathed.

Now tell me what happened in America that our children are being brainwashed by the media-entertainment elite so that the children of America now admire illiterate misogynists that respect nothing, including themselves and their parents? And the young women of today all base their identity on their breast size and look forward to spring break so they can go act like whores, and throw themselves at losers, because they have no positive identity, which comes from moronic parenting.

America, the beautiful.

I do believe that Cosby is trying to instill in black men a sense of honor, responsability, courage and leadership, among other traits, that ALL men need to possess.

The author of the article doesn't understand conservatism anymore than he probably understands how to get to the moon. He put Cosby and Farrakhan in the same boat. Farrakhan is an Islamic liberal on the side of himself, not the black people. He, like other liberals, depends on a herd of sheeple for all his influence. The author also compared "gansta rap" to jazz. Does anybody else see the similarity, because I don't.

Good point, because he may not have the leadership, knowledge, etc. needed. On the other hand, it IS refreshing to hear someone who actually isn't afraid to say something of substance. The Democrats and Republicans are so afraid they might 'offend' someone that they don't say much of anything substantive; it's all platitudes about how they are for 'strengthening the economy' (as if THAT's part of the federal government's role), 'protecting the children' (ditto, and from WHAT - government kills more innocent children than lack of seatbelts or perverts out on parole), etc. etc. They NEVER really respond to the idiot 'journalists' who ask slanted questions.

Just ONCE I'd like to hear a president say out lout that they aren't going to 'cater to a bunch of lazy bums who want to sit around and watch TV paid for with welfare checks.' or some such thing. Instead of whining about the 'cost of healthcare' why don't they point out that the vast majority of people pay way more for their cell phone and cable than they do for their health care.

So, in THAT sense, yes, I'd vote for Cosby.

Even if we picked the president by lottery, at least we'd not likely get a crooked individual with inside connections and 'dues' to pay to his backers, which is usually what our choices consist of.

It so happens that my sister in law is African American.
(Literally, she was born in Gabon).

Trust me on this one, there's plenty of racism in this country.

100% true, yet in no way addresses the presence, (or absence), of racism in America.

I'm a registered Independent, and I dislike abhorrent behavior in anyone, no matter what color they are. Just because you smile or act nice to a black person on the grocery line, doesn't mean racism has ended.

The greatest problem with we American's is our gluttonous consumerism and sickening selfishness - neighbors build walls around their houses, and wouldn't lift a finger to give help to a family in need, and if that family is a different color you'd have a better chance of running through hell in a gasoline trench coat and living to tell about it.

And here's a hint - if you were shunned out of many things in a society, you too would hate and rebel, and spit in that society's face, every chance you had - after all, what do you have to loose?

Now I ain't sticking up for no crack-heads or deadbeat dads, or other scum, no matter what color. But there are TWO sides to every story, and to deny that is worse than being a real-life Archie Bunker.

America, the Beautiful.
