I made a couple posts asking about different 92's in 357. My thing was i wanted something that would reliably run 38 specials. After much going back and forth between the Browning and Taylor's, i decided to take so many of yall's advice and i bought a Rossi. Two actually. A 20" 357 and a 16" 45 Colt. I ordered Stevegunz DVD and some parts and hope to have em slicked soon. I have owned Rossi's in the past and liked em fine. Nate Kiowa Jones put it best (and this pretty much sealed the deal) when he said, and i loosely quote, "Think about it. The people that made the original 92's are all gone now. Rossi has been making them since the 60's, so they are the most experienced." Again, loosely quoted but that's the (good) point.

So thanks for all yalls input. Gonna see about a Ranch hand and i think a 16" stainless 357 for a truck gun down the road.

Nary a problem from any of my Rossi leverguns other then a 16" in 454 Casual that had a generous chamber. Rossi rebarreled it in about ten days or so under warranty.

I don't think you'll regret your decision, Rossi make a darn good copy of the 92.

I think we will be fine. I really liked the two i owned before. One guy wanted one to match his 45 revo and the other one went away because my buddy took the trade on a Cimmaron Lightning 38.

Nowhere...............................They're easy enough to do most of the work yourself - or send it to Steve.

IDK when Doc AJ sent his back to Rossi for the rebarrel, but lately, sending a gun to them for warranty work since Taurus bought Rossi is like never having the gun (it takes that loooong).

And, AFAIK, since Taurus' newest policy, they won't ship any parts to a non-gunsmith.

I have several of their 92s both pre safety and with the safeties.....and I love them all. My newest one is a .45 carbine and its one of my favorite rifles and super accurate. You will be happy with the rifles no doubt.

Joe, I had a Ranch Hand in .44 Magnum, replaced the safety with Steve's nifty peep sight, and found the thing surprisingly practical and accurate.

I am honestly thinking about making it a short barrel rifle and suppressor host...

Never had one before. Just not sure i wanna participate in the gov't tax program anymore than i already do with my income taxes.
