So you had some spare money just lying around. Or maybe you're getting that sour look from the missus for having spent it out of turn. Maybe it just leaped from your wallet crying for freedom. In any case, money exchanged hands; hopefully for some deeply discounted goody soon to arrive in your hot little hands and thus the focus of this topic-- What did you manage to score during this week long bargain extravaganza?
I blame 7.62 for mine-- A PSA AR-15 Complete Classic Lower (non-blem) for $130. He told me to jump on so I did. Throw in 4 D&H 30 round mags for $6 and I now have a complete AR. Or will, sooner of later.
So what did you manage to grab this week?

...Proud owner of the 11.43×23mm automatic using depleted Thorium rounds.
About $100 in additional debt for every patient I saw so far this year, thanks to Obama being in bed with the insurance companies (just like the Republicans were before him). About $300,000 in debt for the privilege of working 3,000 hours and seeing 3,000 patients.... Only when socialism reigns can an experienced physician who makes it a point to be honest and practice cost-effectively, be punished by the 'system'; meanwhile the 'employed' docs focus on four minute visits and dream up reasons to do stuff the patient doesn't need that pay the hospital well so they can get bonuses, and reasons not to do anything that might dent the profitability of employer or insurer.
Feighning obliviousness to the above, I did buy one very nice rifle, and sold some others to upgrade ones I have.
I figure if I'm going to be the one who loses the family homestead after all these years because I was dumb enough to be an honest family physician, I may as well enjoy the downhill slide...

Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws "first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.
A little later i am going to Bass Pro to see what they have left ---- they showed a killer deal on flannel shirts in the paper and i could use a couple more (10$ each ) - they advertised a brick of .22's for 25 bucks , but as i am writing this at lunch time (1230 pm) - i am sure those are all gone
---- LAtely , i personally value my sleep over the black friday deals
One of the local large gun stores/ range has some neat deals on some Vortex Aimpoint copy red dots and BDC scopes -- around 100-150 bucks . I have a little AR that is just screaming for a red dot like that and a decent, compact scope could be used on any number of things i have laying around, --- from my recently aquired M1A , to a little 336Y 30/30 i procured late last year and havent shot --
would be a great day to get out and do some shoppin and swappin lies , --- but the aforementioned M1A tapped me out --- I'll be content if they just have some of those flannels in my size left by the end of the day when i get out
We are having septic system issues now so money is tight. I did buy an I-pad for the wife for Christmas. Going to be holding pretty tightly to my cash for a while.
Probably going to have to install a mound system and be shelling out the better part of 15K (or more) by the time we are done.
I can't blame any spending on Black Friday.. I do it all the time....
Yesterday and today were dedicated to visiting family and watching the Cowgirls melt down in typical fashion.
But, I recently traded into a 6.5 Grendel AR and will probably buy some stuff for it at the guns how this weekend in Dallas. I need a better trigger and want to get rid of the 6-position stock. I want a fixed one that doesn't rattle for hunting. I may just order a RR complete lower the way I want and sell the Spike's lower I have. Also want a winter trigger guard.
Levers...none to blame on Black Friday..
So far in the past 12 months...

I saw that in the flyer that came in the mailbox and mentioned it to my wife that it was a good deal, and a cool box too. But there was no way I was going to go stand in line to be there when they opened at 5:00 am this morning. She was looking at the ad last night, and I told her to PLEASE do NOT go up there for a brick of 22's. She said, "Are you sure?", I said Yes, it's not worth that hassle. I woke up at 6:00 to go to work, and she was no where to be found! I called her and she said she went up to Bass Pro to get me those bullets, but they sold out, 300 units, in 8 minutes. She missed out, they were gone before all of the line of people waiting outside got inside the store.

Well Ted, there's always those flannel shirts i was talking about !
But hey -- mad props to you if you have a wife with that much forethought to go do that for ya anyway ----
My Rita simply went through the paper - sorted out the flyers from the sporting goods and hunting stores , and left that short stack of sale info on my desk and said --- "Have at it"

Griff,
You had the Sam Holt restored??? That's a beauty! ----6
No... after spending copious amounts of money with 86er, we decided that it wasn't worthy of a more thorough restoration... unless I just HAD to have a really pretty wall-hanger. No, this is one of the TTN Colt 1878 clones... that Nate has CCH'd and some action work. 26" tubes. I really like my 20" version... but like a 26" for those targets that are set a little farther out!
Stupid me... this'll make a second PAIR of 20" & 26" cowboy shotguns... Hammerless Stoegers and now Hammered TTNs!

There is a fine line between hobby & obsession! AND... I'm over it!!
No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!
I picked up 500rds. of Blazer brass 115gr. 9mm for $109.00 I guess that's a good deal, still seams awful expensive to me.
Also picked up a new pair of fishin waders for $50 Frogtogg brand. Never used that kind before, but hard to pass up 50 dollar waders.
And that I'm bleeding 1/4 of my income every month until I sell my old place...
