Actually, drove down to the mfgr's and picked 'em up!
160gr .452 Pb round flat nose... fabulously great in the Cowboy45Special and my Colt SAAs! Light recoil makes for some quick shootin'!
I'm hopin' I got the right nipples as my 1851s are Colts, but none were listed... so, I'm hopin' that since Uberti made all the castings, they use the same size as other Ubertis... 12-28 thread size...

I'll bet those would be good plinkers for my 625 AutoRim.....

Yeah, I bet they would... since the C45S is essentially a 45AR with a slightly smaller rim!
Sixgun wrote:They look nice Griff. Load those babies up with 1.8 grains of Bullseye and your ready to cowboy shoot.
Velocity should be right around 560 fps. Hope the recoil don't set you too far back.
But on the bright side your cases should last around 475 loadings. -----6
I'm loadin' 'em up with 3.2 grains of Clays. I'm thinkin' they're going somewhere close to 700f-750 fps. And at 5 yards, I can put 5 of them on top of each other as fast as I can work the hammer! Not slip-hammerin', but hammer-trigger, hammer-trigger, hammer-trigger, hammer-trigger, hammer-trigger. Just enough recoil to put the hammer back under my off-hand thumb!

I thought you were a bullet caster. How much you pay for that box of 45's?----6
I am... but my 160 mold is for BP lube... and I wanted some that would be... well... strictly speaking... less labor! $89/1000.
In fact... I'm mulling around buying a Magma Engineering automated casting machine and lube/sizer and doing it commercially... get the hades out of this truck!

Did you ever get a chance to try those black powder .45 Colt bullets that I sent you awhile back, made from a 45-260F Accurate mold?

No. They're on the bench to be loaded when I know I'm going to the range for paper punchin'! Hopefully, the week after next... headed to Houston, then over into Louisiana, then up to Minneasota, and then... again, hopefully back to Texas!

Griff, can you tell the name & website, (IF they have one, Ph# if not) of the mfg'r? I'd like to see what .45 Colt weights they offer, quantities, & pricing. Thanx, jd45
But I had to start out by digging out a bullet mold, warmed up the lead pot....
Really glad you found what you were looking for though!
