Winchester 71 & 94 Made it home

I picked up my 71 yesterday. It is a 1957 vintage, that has been very well taken care of by the previous owner & member here, Mulder.
It has just a little bit of honest ware, looks like someone may have had it in the woods a few times.
The wood is beautiful, pictures donâ€™t do it justice.

This is the first time I have ever handled a 71, man it's built, the action is a work of art!
I can't wait to get some loads built and see how she shoots.
Here are a few pictures.

I also got another 94 from Mulder, it is a 1954. It will be a great truck gun for my 54 Chevy Pick Up

Beautiful wood on the 71! I had a Chevy truck of that vintage back when I was going to college. It was about twelve years old then. It had a nice place to store a pint for the cold Fridays after class to start the weekend off with a bang. It was behind the seat next to the door if I can remember back that far.

Love that 71 especially. I had the chance to pick a very nice one up for about $700 right before the Winchester plant closed. Instead I took the cash and picked up two Trails End levers in 44 and 357.

I sold them both last year during the frenzy. Now it looks like it would take all the cash I got back to buy a '71 in similar shape.

It is one of my big regrets.

Meanc, I bought a full auto Uzi back in 2000 and just sold it at a great profit!
I'm reinvesting that profit back into guns that I'm more interested in, like the 71 & 94 also the Browning 1886 I bought from Dennis.
So far that Uzi has turned into four nice rifles, that far surpass the stamped sheet metal Uzi in my way of thinking

OK, now I have to find a 1955 vintage rifle to go with my Dodge 1 ton.
The fender badge says "Job Rated" which rifle meets this criteria?
Any reccomendations?

BTW this will be a full custom truck in the spring (found my winter project, lol)

All this talk about autos and firearms.

A couple months back I picked up a 357mag Win 94 Wrangler (with the Lg loop) specifically for my 94 Jeep Wrangler.

Fits absolutely perfect in its case in the back seat between the wheel wells.

bsaride, thats a nice old Dodge, being a 1 Ton and all, I think your going to have to find something in at least 45-70 to go with it

Thanks all, that 71 action really is something.
I only have a few guns that has that "something special feeling" when you handle them. I can see why those 71's, 1886's and 92's are so sought after.
