My wife could use some help !

My wife has found a lump in one of her breasts . She's been to the doctor etc mammogram and all that and he seems to think he can get it all with hopefully no problem . Any thoughts on her behalf would be greatly appreciated

Same, 6-pt. This runs in my wife's family, and she has a cousin currently in radiation following surgery. I know the heartbreaking uncertainty.

I think she's going to have the operation late this week or early next week .

Wish I could go over to be there , but that doesn't seem to be in the cards .

"Suspicious lumps" aren't a death sentence! With today's medical technology, it's just a simple job to remove any "lump" and treat for future "lumps"... BTDT.

Yes I agree , my mother had one back when I was in high school so that woulda been in the late 70's and she lived up until 2009 .

My mother later in life had Non Hodjkins Lymphoma (not sure on spelling)and another cancer that evades me at the moment . And I thin the biggest thing that got her through it the first 2 or 3 times was a very positive attitude about the treatments and recovery .

My wife comes her sometimes to look and see what I may have posted .

And she told me a little while ago she saw this thread . She also said she was very thankfull for all the prayer and kindness shown to her .And to pass along her thanks to you all !

I am always very gratefull for thoughts and prayers on her behalf .

Like Uncle Buck said "prayers for both of you". My wife has had a very successful recovery after being diagnosed with BC.
Battling this disease is very trying for the patient and her loved ones. Our Surgeon was a real comfort when he said, " Breast cancer is 98 % curable these days " that said, there where many nights in 2012 I slept very little.

Looks as if surgery will be either saturday or monday .

And hopefully she'll only have to stay 2 days in the hospital provided there aren't complications .

Well she told me today she'll have the operation wednesday July 2nd .

And after everything is shown to be good she should be home on friday I think .

My wife had her surgery about 2 AM eastern tune this morning . Our daughter sent me a message at 5 AM that all was well and the lump tested negative and was removed . I would like to say thank you to everyone !

The lump was successfully removed AND was benign?!

That's GREAT news!
