I have seen it before but never tried it. Some no-drill mounts work well and others don't. Some work but look horrible. Some look horrible and don't work well.
The design of that one might work.
Being able to mount a sight without drilling a nice Winchester is an attractive idea.
My only question concerns the replacement screw for the receiver side ... finger lever pin stop screw ... there are a bunch of different ones, maybe 6 give or take in different diameters and threads. The web sight didn't seem to address this issue ... unless I missed it. I'll check again just to be sure.
The base seems to be solid enough otherwise.
I'm sending them an email about it.
I have one on a post 64 with a Burris scout scope. I realized that they recommend these more for red dots than scopes for prolonged use. This maybe because of the larger 2-7 and 3-9 scopes. It came will a selection of screws for various vintage receivers.
So far I have found I don't mind the scout concept, it greatly aides my older eyes. But if I was younger I would stick to peeps that shoot 95% as good has scopes. Also the 94 is a woods loafers dream gun with irons. But almost has good with a scout
I like the XS but it's designed for the AE and mine is a top ejector. I would need to drill two holes on the front of the receiver to fit it - something I would prefer to avoid.
I do have a Kwik-Site side mount for the BB which I may use.
I'm resurrecting this thread. Went hunting with my buddy yesterday and he complained about not being able to see through his receiver site on his 94. He loves the gun! Has anybody use this sight system with a scope?
I do know that, due to the BB94's receiver bulge, I would doubt that the Kwik-Site side mount pictured above would work on one.
After buying/trying a bunch of mounts, IMO the short ( a longer one is also available) XS LeverScout rail worked best for mew on Marlin 1894's, top-eject Winchester 94's with the rear sight dovetail approx 4" from the front of the receiver (requires the top of the front receiver get D/T'd for two 6-48 screws, inline with the bore), and Rossi M-92's that weren't factory-prepped for their cantilever scope mount (under the rear barrel sight's longleaf).
I like my old school Williams side mount with this vintage 3x Weaver.
This is a plug & play mount on this 1961 model 94.
Iron sights remain very much usable with this setup.

I do have one of the Pearson mounts. I had a small issue with it at first as the model 1892 I have had a different space to the rear sight slot. I called Pearson and we worked out a way for me to mark the exact location of the slot sent it back to him and he redrilled the mount for $10 (I think). I use it for load development with cast bullets and when the gun and bullet combo is correct then I remove it and use with iron sights. I have had it on at least 4 guns 92s and a pre 64 and a post IIRC. I have had no issues other than the one stated and it was particular to my gun no fault on hisnpart. Real pleasant guy to deal with also. I am satisfied and if I needed another one for some reason I would buy with no hesitation. He does ask about which screws you will need for your application. Now if I could just convince him to offer one for old 1893 marlins????
