Got Myself An Early Birthday Present
What the heck? I knew it was a mistake to take this out for a demo. '14 Dyna Lowrider. Less than 600lbs, low to the ground for the vertically challenged, and about twice the torque of my 900....The performance took my breath away. Off to the parts dept

Blaine,
Good for you man! Mistake?.......no way. I was looking at one of those just last week while I was waiting for a tire to get put on my Softail.
Matter of fact, I talked a guy into buying it haha.
That thing is gonna handle great and must scoot pretty good with the 103.
Like I tell people, between a Harley and a Jeep I'm destined to die poor......but happy!
I don't even bring up the guns......

"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
Re: Got Myself An Early Birthday Present
I REALLY liked my 900 Vulcan...a lot! It was going to be my retirement scoot. If I had not demo-ed the Lowrider, I'd still be very happy. At 600lbs, and nearly 100 foot pounds of torque, this Lowrider is breathtaking, and I haven't even cracked the throttle more than about half so far...Handles better than anything I've ever ridden...Naturally, it won't keep up with the sport bikes, but I'd never want one of those..not comfortable enough for a 700 mile day....Another thing that's cool is the 2 into 1 pipes are on the right side, and away from your right leg when your riding...The Ultra Classic I used to have burnt my legs, and melted my raingearOldWin wrote:Blaine,

Re: Got Myself An Early Birthday Present
There really are a lot of nice bikes out now. I don't care who makes em or what country they come from. The market is so competitive now they have to be good.
I stopped at a stoplight in Farmington (Maine) this morning and a guy rolled up beside me on a late 80's Gold Wing. He said, "Wanna go for a ride?" I asked where he was headed and he said, "Houston".
We were both frozen and he said he couldn't wait to get outta Maine.

Re: Got Myself An Early Birthday Present
Me, I'm kind of intrigued by the Harley electric. But the biggest bike I have ever ridden was a Honda Rebel in the safety class ...

Blaine: What is the displacement? Are you going to upgrade the air and fuel mapping?
Re: Got Myself An Early Birthday Present
It's the 103 engine, which roughly = almost 1700cc.....I'm not going to do too much to it. Perhaps a Screaming Eagle air intake, or more likely just a K&N air filter, and my Stealership has a download that slightly richens things up a tad in the middle to upper RPMs....For now, I need the windscreen, sissybar, and luggage rack....octagon wrote:Blaine: What is the displacement? Re: Got Myself An Early Birthday Present
KN filters let more air flow, but more dust also, it'll dust burn it before you know it , personal experience
