Thank's Sixgun

Post by OldWin »

Just want to say thank you again to Six and all his buddies at Targetmaster for a great visit. My son and I had a great time and will be back.
It was a blast getting to meet Sixgun. He is just as crazy in real life as he is here.

For a few hours that was the most dangerous corner of Pennsylvania. :D

Headed back to Maine today. I hope the snow melted while we were gone.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.

Yessssiiirrreeeeee. Good times pass too fast and I plan on passing my time in the "good zone". I really caught heck when I got home.......the better half had all kinds of food cooked up and said I should have invited you guys over.....I just did not know your plans........next time we will get started early, will make a day out of it and even hit the gunclub.

It sure was nice meeting with you and your son, Cody, and the pair of you are two dudes I like sharing time with. We are going to do it better the next time you come on down.

(Hint.......got a call today and guess what's coming down to Targetmaster........yes...50 CASES of Federal Hi-Vel .22 ammo........don't know of the status yet, whether they will be for sale or range use)

Wish you boys a nice return trip and remember, "they" are coming to your neck of the woods. :D -----6

Jay......the picture of me and you and Ole Yeller.....post it! :D

Both are Smith & Wesson 1950 Targets in 44 Spl., one 6 and 1/2" and the other 4". You guys work it out between yourselves, then let me know.----6 If it matters, I killed my biggest buck with the 4".

Hey Six,

Haha sorry I got you in doo-doo with the wife. Tell her no worries as my sons wife was waiting at the hotel in AC. I told him to blame me if she was tweaky. :D
He said he will be back soon for sure.

I usually get down a couple times a year and I will let you know before my trips down. You're our kinda people for sure. If you ever get up here be sure to let me know.
Just got home from being gone all day today too! Our middle son just swapped his Mustang for a four door Super Duty even handed. He done good!

Here is our pic. Didnt want to post it without your ok.

Well, I just got back from the funhouse and it looks gloomy......for me.

Jay, glad to see you got back in one piece. Strange thing how people who think alike are spread too thin in this great nation. I guess that how the Feds want it.

Hey Jay, tell the boys about that trio of Muslims that came in the shop with their long garb on. I can't, as it boils my blood just thinking about those animals.

Anyway, on to the goodies...Colt Super Match in 38 Super, made in '61, about 98%, a Civil War Sharps in about 90% but my knowledge eludes me on this one......don't know much about them, 1863 Whitney-Ville Civil War 69 cal. Musket in 90%.....don't know nothing about them either. A real deal m-1 Carbine paratrooper that looks like it was just made.....and it's a 100% er as this is my bud's expertise, and an 1886 Winchester button mag, shotgun butt rifle made in 1890 chambered in 45-70.....I could have had that one for 20 C-Notes but the bore was beat.------6

Hey Jack,
I don't know........I mean I'm glad you came home still having money in your pocket.......but that woulda been a cool 86 with a good bore. Short mags are shooters.

I don't know much about civil war stuff but that M1A1 carbine is gooooood stuff for sure!

I can't believe the good stuff you got down there........but you got some freaky people. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a live and let live kinda guy.....but wow. Now I know I'm kinda small town and ain't seen much of the world. I know everyone doesn't have to be like me to live here.
Its just too bad that you can walk around in a robe, crapping on this country and those who worked, fought and died for it, and have more rights than the rest of us.

There, I'm done. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Jack and I talked a lot of this during our visit. We miss the old days I guess. Some folks were just born too late. Theres probably a bunch on this forum.

Chad and Byron,
In 2 years, I'm out of the crud hole and I'll have nothing but time to waste. You can bet I'm gonna mosey up your way. Thanks for the invite! :D

You claim you have the ammo...you got 40-60 Marlin, .22 Jet, .256 Win. Mag.? You know I shoot the same stuff that I am........weird.

But..........with the way this country is going, I'm just wondering if there is going to be anything left in 2 years. Whitey is rising.....he's tired of paying everyone else's way.....looks like it started in Nevada.....only more to come.

Funny thing....No M-16's and sniper rifles along our border to keep out the illegals, drug dealers, and terrorists but they bring them fast against our own people. Somethings got to give............6

Probably a dumb question; Do you have 256WM brass and ammo? How bout a few pics. Also got any pics of your 144gr 38/55 Lyman boolits?
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

You gonna bolt when you retire Six? How on earth are you gonna pack all those Colt's and Winchesters in one trip?

Well don't you worry............I'll step up and take a few of 'em to kinda "watch over" and keep an eye on like.......just so they're safe and you don't have to worry about em.

That's ok, you don't owe me anything. That's the sort of thing I do for a friend. :D

If I live long enough to retire I'd like to get out west.....if I can take my Jeep. Otherwise I'm going to keep hiding up here in the woods.

No, it's not a dumb question. Only intelligent people ask questions and yes, I have what you are asking for and about everything else that was ever invented in the way of guns and no, I am not a braggart, only a person who speaks the facts. :D -----6

Byron and Chad,
Those 1950 Targets are not "teasers".

This Triplelock Target is. In addition to the gun being bought by the owner of that manufacturer ing company, he was also the president of the yacht club in R.I. And yes, you would vomit if I told you what I paid for it, and no, I don't have much money, only knowledge.----6

Old Win Jay,
No.no.no....I like it here where I live. It took me many years to get the "compound" the way I like it with devices that would rival a Mob boss. :D

When I say "outta here" I should clarified myself, I was writing from work. I can honestly say that management where I work are the nastiest back stabbing, play dirty, kiss-the-lazy-bum-and-hurt-the-honest-hard-working-come-to-work-on-time guy basterds that have ever walked the face of God's green Earth. I have 2 years and three weeks before I can collect benefits paid and a healthy check every month.

But until then, I will have to continue to get to work by 6 and start my forklift up by 6:30, let it warm up, finish my coffee, check my email, take a dump and get started by about 7:15. I tell ya, it ain't easy being a Teamster. (I do tend to exaggerate a bit)---6

Chad,
Oh Lordy, that single shot is the cat's meow. :D That's even more difficult to get shooting than what I play with.....the case.....real deal 28 or 30 Stevens? I see you have a Stevens scope on there too. You guys got some neat stuff. Can I have some of it? Not all, just say, maybe the Stevens? :D

What's with the wood plate with all the pointy thingy.

The only thing I got close to that is a special order low wall .22 l.r. with a 36" Stevens scope. ---6

The wood thingy is a drying rack for my black powder cases after I wash them. its just brass welding rod cut and stuffed into a nice board.

Image

Its a 22-15-60 stevens basically its a 22 magnum ...60 grain at about 1050 to 1100 fps. but to get ammo for that thing and reloading data was almost impossible.

dibs on your winchester I sure would like to have that one! I collect 22 rimfire and moron and I shoot the stuff out of them!

Chad,
Is that a model 45? I'm not up on my Stevens. Sure is nice to see those fitted cases....kind like preserving history as it was back in the day.

I think I know the cartridge ..........it's very similar to the Vietnam flèchette ---6
