I hear there's a new Colt clone coming out that's made in Japan. When you cock it, it goes crick-crick-crick-crick!

That's Purty but I have a question. What do They do with a nasty bore when They spruce up the outside ? That's something I have considered for My 1909 Colt.

I was never a fan of the Bisley models, but I sure wouldn't turn that one down. Beautiful.

Reckon I got to agree with rafter 7, a Bisley Colt is to me a waste of a good Colt. I think my 1957 Colt SAA 5 1/2 inch .45 is a true classic gun but like Sarah says you can put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig, that's how I feel about a Bisley. My own opinion.

The Bisley grip is an acquired taste for sure. For many years I thought they were ugly to but now I own several six shooters with Bisley style grips.
Shooting (Ruger only) heavy loads in a plow handled gun can be brutal.
325gr. at 1200 fps in the .44 mag. is just about all I can handle even with the Bisley grip.

I liken the Colt Bisley curves to a Jayne Mansfield build.
I'd post a picture of what I mean... but anyway...

The Bisley was a specific purpose design. And it was beautifully suited to that purpose.

Rebarrel and re-mark them. If you want. Not a terrifically difficult job.

I don't understand the OP. Casastable, did you buy one or have one you're not showing us - or just posting pictures?
