Just recieved my new leather buttstock ammo carrier for my .444 Marlin 1972 vintage. I wanted to incorporate its vintage as its the same as my birth year. As well as the name "Hammertime" i have coined for it..

It looks like high quality work from where I sit, and it looks very cool.

A fella out of Calgary just down the highway from me made it. Its a hobby for him and not a full fledged career as he works in the oil patch up here in Alberta. it was a three month wait but well worth it......

Good looking leather. But let's be serious. Hammertime showing a sledge on a .444? Maybe a ballpeen hammer at best. The levergun sledge hammer is and always will be the 45-70.
Okay, I'll duck now.

Ha ha!!! I have a fondness for the .45-70 as well as I used to have a Guidegun. I agree with you that .45-70 does have more oomph. The .444 is no slouch though!! Lol..
