Hello Folks,
Been lurkin here for a while and what a truly informative and enjoyable lurk it's been. I am very impressed with the friendly and helpful attitude of the many knowledgeable folks at this forum. And those pictures of those lever-action rifles, single action six guns, assorted game animals taken by ancient rifle designs, chambered in ancient calibers, by today's standards warms this old geiser's heart. Thank you gentlemen for all the enjoyable reading and memories you have provided me.

Thank you Gentlemen for the warm welcome and another reason for being grateful to you all. I actually live in the foothills of NY State's Adirondack Mountains. Just a knoll as compared to the Rockies, but we can't all be as fortunate as you Western Gents. I must admit that when I wander in those Eastern Mountains I am aw struck by the beauty the Good Lord has provided for us there and can't even begin to imagine what those Rockies must be like.

Jengel,
I was actually a resident of your great State for a short time at Fort Riley, where I took my jungle training before going to Vietnam. I know where's the jungle in Kansas cause I didn't see one either, but that's Army logic for ya. I did however see my first and only mirage there and how I laughed at myself when I finally realized what I was actually seeing.

Thank you Gentlemen for the best welcome I've ever had. Heck, my own family don't greet me as graciously as you folks have. Course they know me better!!!
Sixgun, the SAA is in the mail.
Jarhead, NY can be a beautiful, but sometimes you have look hard to find it. My youngest is a Jarhead. He just got back from A-stan this past Jan and Iraq the Jan before. Needless to say Pops is pretty proud of him. He's no longer employed by the USMC, but I know he'll always be a Marine.
