Well after a year of working with different loads I have finally gotten my 71 to shoot cloverleaf groups at 50's with cast bullets. They also shoot to the same point of aim as the jacket loads. The trick was to use nylon tape to increase the diameter of the bullet and pufflon. The reason i chose 50's is because it's closer than 100's and it's easier to see the target and iron sights. Now on to the 32 spl need to work with.

200 grain RCBS cast gc, 40.0 grains of RL7, Pufflon and since my rifle needs a cast bullet in .351 diameter I used one wrap of nylon thread tape around the bullet. I tried to have a sizing die made in .351 but I could not find anyone that would make one for me. I wrap the thread tape so that it will not unravel in the right hand twist. At about 35 yards you can see the thread tape come off if the sun light is just right. This load is easy on brass.

Buffalo Arms catalogs .351" (and .352") sizing dies for lyman/rcbs lubrisizers. I've also had good luck polishing them out with fine grit emery cloth on a dowel, just go slow and check often.
