Win 1892/32WCF--10 pics

Post by pwl44m »

This is My latest 92,it is in 32-20. I've had it for more than a month but what with moving and all just got around to taking pics. Overall Blue is xclnt except for top of recvr and top tang. I wish they had kept the sandpaper away from it. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but will .
"For twobit" Ser # is 206856
Barrel is 24" with full mag tube
This makes # 4,now I need a 44-40 to finish the lineup (I think) I have 25-20,32-20, 38-40. R there any more?
I have no idea whose name that is on the stock.

Pokey, the bore is good. This Rifle hasn't been fired much. Just let set and get rusty.

What do you mean my sandpaper. The striations on the side of the receiver?

Looks like it was "Blane's" rifle. Yes, .218 Bee IIRC.

Pretty nice looking rifle. Serialized in late 1902 and in the warehouse in Feb of 1903.
Is all original based on the photos you posted. You did not include the barrel address
but it should be:
MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.
-------NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PAT. OCT. 14, 1884.-------

Please let me know and thanks for the extra rifle for the survey. +1800 rifles now!!!

@ twobit, I have a 92 that I'm not sure if I have give U the #s on. It has some peculiar features that I'm not sure r correct. It has a saddle ring and carbine butt with a full oct rifle length barrel in 38-40. I tried to send U a pm but couldn't put pics in the pm. I searched for Ur survey and came up short so this is the only way I could figure to do it. Sorry Guys that U have to read thru this.

That's a very nice 92 you found, Perry. I have one nearly identical to it. They make great Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette rifles! :D
