.44 Mag Winchester 94 Wrangler Question

Post by K1500 »

I may have a chance to buy a Winchester M94 Wrangler in .44 Mag. The gun is an AE model with a crossbolt safety and is in very good condition except two small rubbed spots on the barrel where the gun was riding in a rack. Do you guys have any idea of a possible value and are there any warts on the 94's in .44 magnum I need to know about? I have been wanting a 92 in .44 for a while, but I have no inherent objections to a 94.

I just sold for a customer 4 Winchester 94AE Trapper saddle ring rifles . I do not remmember if any of them had the CB safety or not .

One was a 30-30 that went for $600 , one was a 45 Colt that went for $600 , one was a 44 MAG that went for $635 and the last was a 357 that went for $750 . All except the 44 MAG looked brand new . The 44 MAG had some slight useage marking but nothing bad .

My local gun shop has a model 94AE trapper in .44 mag.If I remember correctly it's an 1894-1994 commemorative model. It is like new. He has a price of $799 on it.

Some 94s for the pistol cartridge were finicky on feeding. My 45 Colt was sensitive to the tilt of the receiver during cycling.

I had that exact rifle. It fed with no problems and shot accurately. But I hate recoil, and it hit pretty hard with full loads.
