My neighbor is looking for a center fire firing pin for an 1892 Marlin in .32. He has the rimfire pin but
have you priced the ammo? Gun parts hasn't had any for years and I haven't been able to locate one anywhere.

Should not be too hard to make. Search the internet for the blueprint or other measurement details.---------------6

Thanks for the suggestion but I have way too many projects running to chase down the correct grade steel and file one out for him and he can't do it. I might install it if he can buy one.
Re: 1892 Marlin firing pin
Airedaleman, it looks like Wisner's might have one, I'll have him call them. Finding .32 Colt ought to be easier than finding affordable .32 rimfire, $4.75/round for Navy Arms.

You can get 32 short/long colt from these guys. They will reload the brass and sell bullets also.

I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

I bought several of the pins from Wisner's in the past .
Also it's my understanding that Winchester makes a limited run of 32 Short Colt every year .
I shot some in the pair I had , and to be totally honest it wasn't the most accurate thing in the world .
Did however run up on 200 pieces of NEW Remington/Peters 32 Long Colt back around 2004 in the Binghamton New York /Scranton PA area . Also was able to acquire a 90 grain heel bullet mold . Trim the cases down a shade add 2 1/2 grains of Unique then seat the bullet and lube the outside . That one would shoot some decent groups at 25 and 50 yards .
Had it up at John Kort's Silver Jubilee thing a few years back and we were plinking the chickens at 200 meters . However that was with untrimmed cases and 3 grains of Unique .

I've heard of some folks converting theirs to 32 S&W.
