Off Work

Post by eric65 »

Off work for about a month due to a sprained and bruised knee. All I am allowed to do is sit around the house and wear a really annoying knee brace, not even supposed to walk more than 50 feet at a time without a break. The only saving grace is that I get to play mom to our 14 mo old daughter, without that I would surely go insane.

Get well soon. Might be a good time to catch up on some reading - you know, reloading manuals etc. :D

I just came off a month of restricted duty myself. Even in slippers and sandals I wound up doing more around here than I would have at work, so be careful. You're list of honeydoos will get you if you let it.

Follow the docs instructions to the letter. There's enough of us around here who didn't and paid the price. Heck if the doc says no more than 50 feet, make it 40. A reinjury seems like it takes three times as long to heal, so act up, and you might be playing Mr. Mom for a long time.

Oh, and prayer up for you buddy. Hey think of it this way, now you don't have to do any honey do's.

I expect that rule to last about 48 hours.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
